Smallmouth Bass
Known for their aggressive strikes and beautiful patterns, these fish are a favorite among fly anglers in Maine's rivers and lakes. Boasting aggressive, hard-fighting "bronzebacks" that average 1.5 to 2.5 pounds, with trophy fish reaching 4 to 6 pounds. Prime fishing runs from May through October, peaking in June topwater action and aggressive early-fall feeding

Maine holds approximately 95% of the remaining native Eastern brook trout population in the United States. Peak trout fishing runs from late May through mid-July, and again in the fall. Prime destinations range from remote wilderness ponds in the 4.1 million acres of the North Maine Woods to the expansive Rangeley Lakes and Kennebec River.
